It's the last weekend of summer and the blue sky is shining bright. This summer is one that will go down in history; mother nature was jobless and there wasn't any stimulus money to help her out of the funk....o well at least I was tan for one week!
On a serious note, our hearts are still healing from the lost of our Montana. We do miss him so much and you can feel his absence when you walk through the door, the healing process will take time.
Our little Bobina has become a great swimmer this summer, at the age of 3 1/2 she decided that she enjoyed putting her face under the water and trying to swim. This was noticed on our first boating trip to Orchard Lake. The lake has a great spot to park your boat and swim, only up to little Bobina's waist, we loved it and it was so much fun watching her....what a great memory!
The summer also consisted of cleaning out the toxic acquaintances in my life, realizing that I will make the decision to say no, back off! When you close one or two doors, another opens.....connecting with old friends and meeting new friends.
We had several trips to the water park this summer with some other children/parents from the school, how fun to watch the smiles on their faces.
Home projects have begun, just put in a new floor...took out the old carpet, turned out really nice, still a couple more things to go.
Little Bobina has a new teacher this year, I have had a lot of mixed feelings about this, just want to make sure that they have her in their best interest, because I certainly do. My eyes and ears will be peeled!
As we say goodbye to the summer of 09, we say thank you for letting us grow, it's never been easy, but as we learn to say goodbyes to things, it also allows us to grow and become more human and in touch with the every day life.

School time is here...
Labor Day is right around the corner and the kids will all be going back to school next week. Our Little Bobina will have a new teacher this year at her day care....yes it's day care, but it's a Pre-School where they have a Montessori program....with a brand new playground! The kids got to enjoy their new playground yestarday, they were so excited. Our little one has learned to climb up the monkey bars...with me holding my breathe! O yes, and the red tire swing....the RED tire swing.....as I hear "mommy, the tire swing is you're favorite color....RED."
Bobina has learned how to write her name this summer, still learning the letter "A", but she is doing a great job. I'm hoping that she will become a leader in her new class and help to teach the others. Let the school year begin!

Falling upon us...
The sun and air are telling me that fall is here! It's been a tough summer and part of me is ready for fall, throw on the jeans and curl up to a good movie on a cold fall day......whoops that was life before a child. Ok, so I step into the current times and it will be a busy fall, we will either have swimming lessons or a dance class for little Bobina and I will be heading back to Yoga class on a regular schedule....and did I mention that raking the leaves will be a family affair?
I'm glad to be putting this summer behind us, we had some good times....Little Bobina's first camp out in the back yard (the skunk sent us running into the house at 3 am), boating, a trip to St. Joe's to visit family, baseball game (August 29th) and swimming (learning to put our face in the water).
With the loss of Montana, it's been challenging to enjoy this summer, we miss him so much! We think of him everyday and each move reminds me of him, what habits we have and don't even relize.
We will be focusing on some home improvment jobs over the next couple months, hopefully all will go well.
