It's going to be a busy summer and wow do I want to make the most of it! I know that it's not technically summer yet, but I'm going to be kicking it off tomorrow with our six year anniversary. We are thinking zoo? Yes, just like our wedding day, spending it with the animals! "Wow honey, look at the way that monkey is swinging from tree to tree, kinda reminds me of your friends at our wedding"!
My wedding gift? Our almost finished bathroom! It has turned out great! Of course it has involved a lot of name calling and me looking for any excuse to get out of the house, but that's what happens when you start a project that you think is going to take two weeks and has turned into almost three months!
Cali is calling our names and five days in Lake Tahoe; should be a good time??? Before you know it the pool will be drained and we will be shaking our heads at the hundreds of lawn bags that we will encounter!
So every moment of this summer will need to be embraced, like the thoughts of ice cream on a hot day!

It's an ahh moment
What a great time of year! Spring has sprung and it's a nice opportunity to reflect on the new blossoming in one's life. Every day is a new adventure, and even though some days it feels the same, it's not and once that day is gone, you can never get it back. Life is short and we get so wrapped up in our "problems" and "worries" that we forget to stop and look into ourselves to find the answers that we yearn for. If you can take the time to find the quietness, then you will hear the answers to your questions.

New Reviews
After a long week my husband and I are too tired to cook, so we have made "Friday" either our pizza day or go out some where local.
So here are the last couple places that we have been too and I care to share my thoughts with you, (whether you like it or not).
Biff's Coney Island
Are you shocked that it's a Coney Island? We have gone to this coney island a few times and the food is OK, I wouldn't say it's the best Coney Island; but really all coney's taste the same to me!
I have learned when ordering from this place, you have to ask for less....yes, I said less. They are very generous with their food, but that's not always a good thing. So when ordering from this place, ask for less. Let's talk about the environment. I always find the environment to be very important (well talk about Lone Star soon) and this place is OK, but the ceilings are really high so it's very echoey. This makes for a stressfull environment. Overall food is OK, it's a Coney, what else can I say?
Daniel's Pizza and Bistro
This is a new place that has recently opened up down the street. First, let me say that I'm all about supporting local entrepreneurs. I think that it's very gutsy to open a store or restaurant and I always like to see them survive, especially in an economy like today. OK, back to this new place, "Daniel's Pizza and Bistro". We ordered a pizza from there a few months ago and well, it was alright. I wasn't blown away, but I wanted to give it a try. They have sandwiches, pizzas and ice cream. They took over the space that use to be Big Apple Bagel (that did not survive) and they didn't really change much when it came to the decor. The place is not big, but has carry out and dine-in seating. I think it could have potential for the inside, but not sure if it's there yet. Back to the food; so we went back tonight and I had the all you can eat pasta, salad and bread for 3.99. It's wasn't too bad, but I would like more sauce! I'm a saucy gal....what can I say? My hunka do husband had the personal pizza and he really liked it. Little Bobina shared with me and she seemed to be happy! The prices are great at this place and the food was pretty good, just more sauce next time...Pretty Please!
On the next review, I will write about my first trip to "Lone Star". Let's just say, I saw a cow in the back.....coming soon!

What is worse than being rude to the automated system?
Becoming friends with the customer service rep from Sprint! My husband and Fonzie will be watching the red wings playoff game tomorrow....after talking about their sprint phones!

Computer voice activation vs. human
Have you ever had to deal with an automated phone system? Well, let me tell you how funny it is to sit back and listen to someone go through this system before they get to an actual human; (this is of course, if they ever get to an actual human).
My grand ole husband got a new phone from a friend and needed to switch some numbers around and I'm standing in the kitchen when I hear him in the other room;
In a deep, loud voice;
"ONE"!
again.....
"O-N-E"!
(I'm thinking to myself, who the hell is he talking too in that voice)?
2 seconds later...louder and in a deeper voice, sounding a little pissed off at this point....
"YES"!
2 seconds later.....very steady and with the same deep voice, sounding really pissed off....
"REP-RESEN-TAT-IVE"!
At this point, I'm laughing to myself about how rude he is being to this automated system, "do you really think it cares how pissed off you are, or the tone of voice you are using"? I always wonder if there is someone sitting on that line, just laughing their ass off!
All of a sudden his voice changes to a very familiar voice, this sweat innocent person who needs assistance from a human being.
At least we still have it established that computers are not real and humans are!

Animals over mankind
I was driving down a busy road today when all of a sudden I look up and there's this "cowboy" looking man in the middle of the street and I'm thinking to myself "what the heck is he doing"? As I get closer I realize that he's kindly trying to help two big geese out of the road so that they don't get run over by a 10 point psycho person. I watched in awe and felt very proud of this strange man. How nice it was of this guy to stop his car in the middle of traffic, risking his own life, (either to be run over by some Mercedes or shot at) to help these innocent birds. He finally got the birds to move over onto the grass and as I watched him get in his car and pull away I noticed "he had out of state plates". I bet that if my mother was in the car with me, she may have wanted to roll down her window and yell, "let them get run over you crazy SOB, now they are going to head for my yard and I will need to purchase more flags"!

Back to Reality...check your mentality....
We are back from vacation and had a wonderful time! Even though it took me three days to relax and realize that "yes, I'm on vacation". Disney was OK, but let me vent about something here. As much as the Magic Kingdom likes to think it's a "Magical" place, there is nothing magical about paying $75.00 dollars a person to get in and stand in line (WITH A TODDLER) for over 20 minutes and to ride a ride that lasts 2 minutes...ouch! Yet, the look on little Bobina's face when she was spinning around in the tea cup was PRICELESS! But this doesn't excuse that fact that Disney needs to slow down on the marketing (I'll save that topic for another time, may take a couple hours) and take a look at what's best for the little ones and families!
We are now back at home and trying to adjust to our "normal" schedule. It's a busy week with the Turks here, a wedding shower and all the great things happening at work. I'm ready for my next vacation, but then again...there is no place like your own bed! Ahhhhh
